Genealogy
| Family database informations |
These genealogy pages are based on the genealogies
compiled at Red Lake by Wub-e-ke-niew
and Clara, 1983-1997.
The material here focuses on Red Lake reservation, particularly from
1878-1938. Other databases - separate because of the limitations
of the computer and genealogy program used to compile them - focused on
White Earth, on Minnesota Métis genealogy, etc.
These genealogy pages have been updated into a database -
and in late March 2007, we took this section of Ojibwe.info offline, thinking that
it had been superseded by the new database. But... even though we
had 'redirects' on this website, encouraging people to visit the new
database, we were getting thousands of online visitors every week -
people looking for these old genealogy pages.
So... this section is back.
Please note that it is not
updated... and that additions, corrections, and new information are added to the new online database.
