Marie Madeleine Bouchard daughter of

Etienne BOUCHARD (Michel BOUCHARD & Marie TROTIN)
* both parents seems to be immigrants from France - many of their children and descendants are "indianised", meaning that they are more or less assimilated in one or the other native cultures of the time (indien or metis, depending on the case), that process most probably accured when the family left the organised colony to be amongs the first families to settled in Rivière-Ouelle - this phenomena is widely observe in presummed white families that were first to settled away from organised parish or to settled in any area were the proportion of native population is high, such as Jeune-Lorette, St-François-du-Lac, etc...
- m.1692-10-20 Notre-Dame (parish), Québec city, Québec, Canada
- marriage contract 1692-10-11 Chambalon notary
Marie Madeleine MEUNIER (Julien & Louise FRO)
* both parents also appear to be immigrants from France... impossible to know if their close proximity to the Huron had any real impact, since none of their sons seem to have survived long enough to get married...

I know I have included some info that you might find unecessary or irrelevant... but for their descendants it may help explain a few things about their family and why their ancestors moved West and were so easily incline to mingle with the natives...

If I find any other error, I will let you know and send you the exact correction needed...
