I have been desperatly searching for years to find the ancestry of my Great
Grandfather Bunard (Bernard) Boyer. His daughters( my Grandmothers) birth
certificate simply has him listed as mixed-indian. He was born in Minnesota in
1886.

I can get no information on my great grandmother because her records are sealed
because she was illigitimate. That is what the records showed when I went to the
county recorders office.

My Grandmother, (his Daughter) died before I was a teen, and able to learn any
information from her.

My Mother did not pay attention, and does not even remember his Indian name.

I know there are a lot of peole in the government who try to keep Indian people from
finding their ancestry. So I am at a loss of where to look.

My Grandmother and her brother and sisters were taken away from my Grandfather upon
the death of his wife. It took a long time to get them all back together. Now I
feel like I,m letting them all down by not being able to close the circle.

Can you offer me any help or suggestions?

I appreciate it very much

Sincerly

Deborah Boyer Miranda
