Hello-my name is Jane Gouin Bucknall. I was born and raised in North Dakota and now live Sacramento Ca. My grandmother was Eliza Davis and My Greatgrand parents were charlotte and Jerome Davis. I am doing research on Charlotte and in Canada they say
her parents were Catherine Roussin and Antoine Bleu dit Rosignol. Charlotte was born 1848 and lived in Minnesota and finally North Dakota where she and Jerome are buried at St. Anthony's at Belcourt Indian Reservation. Jerome was also known as Mung-ge-sheegan and his father as Kug-kay-dway. I can't prove this is charlottes parents and do so want to know. Charlotte died in 1905 and had lived the later years on the turtle mountain reservation but since I live in Ca. no one seems to want to give my any info. My grandfather Joseph Gouin (married to Eliza Davis) I know about his family and where they came from as well as the Davis family-not the Blue family or Bleau as it is spelled many different ways. Could you find out about Charlotte Blue for need as I never knew her she was before my time as well as Eliza. There is no death records on her but St. Anthony's may have some but they say they are in the basement and are to busy?? You can Email me at bucknall@pacbell.net
