!OBIT: [Obituary, The Pioneer, Bemidji, Minnesota, Julia M. Brancahud, 101,
of Park Rapids died Monday, OCT 12, 1992, at the Heritage Living Center in
Park Rapids.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church,
with Rev. Rick Boyd officiating. Interment wil be in St. Theodore's Catholic
Cemetary in Ponsford, with arrangements by the Jones-Behrens Funeral Home of
Park Rapids.
Mrs. Branchaud was born JUN 16, 1891 at White Earth to Andrew and Margaret
Vanoss. She grew up and went to school there and married Irving J. Branchaud
JUN 12, 1907, in White Earth. They lived and farmed near Waubun, moving
during the Depression to Red Lake, where she lived until 1945. She then moved
to Ponsford and in the early 1950's to Park Rapids. She had lived at the
Heritage Center since 1977.
She is survived by two sons, Irving W. "Tippy" (Frances "Kickin") of Red Lake
and Valerian (Mary) of Suffolk, Va; four daughters, Audrey Cobenais of Red
Lake, and Sylvia Beaulieu, Theodora "Sue" Branchaud and Mary Diestler, all of
Park Rapids; 36 grand-children; 109 great-grandchildren; 91 great-great-
grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Martin and Louie; three
daughters, Glendoris, Ethelbert, and Edwina; and five
sons-in-law.
