Josephine "Josie" Whitefeather, 64, of Ponemah died Nov. 22 at North Country
Hospital in Bemidji.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ponemah Community Center, in the
Indian custom. A wake is scheduled today and Thursday at the Ponemah Center.
Interment will be in the family burial ground at Ponemah under the direction of
the Snustad Funeral Home of Blackduck.
She was born Dec. 6, 1925, at Redlake.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Whitefeather of Indiana, Leland
Whitefeather of Ponemah, two daughters, Bonita Graves of Redby and Ruby Barrett
of Detroit Lakes, 24 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, and
two sisters.
She was prceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter and a
grand-daughter.
