"Agreement" of 1889 at age 38; he did not become Chief until around 1919,
after the death of his father. In later years he was one of the few Chiefs
with influence; he was a Christian Missionary among his people and was
considered a kind and intelligent

ceremony. According to his testimony he and O-be-quod separated at least three
years before her death and each had other partners or Indian Custom spouses.
However in the probate court, Becker County, 25 Aug 1906, Simon Ruff was
declared her only heir.
