one record says that he was born at Fond du Lac; another record says that
he was born at Sandy Lake, lived at Mille Lacs for a short time, and then moved
to the White Earth Reservation where he lived for the next fifty years and
where he died. He was at Sandy Lake at the time of the treaty of 1854 and had
been to La Pointe twice to receive his payments. As a Headman of a Mississippi
band he signed the agreement of 1886 at White
Earth.
