Funeral services wereheld for Mrs. John Benais, 73, on Thursday, December 9,
1971 at 9:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church in Red Lake. Father
Cassian Ossendorf officiated with burial in the Catholic Cemetary. Mrs.
Madeline Benais was born March 10, 198 at Letellier, Manitoba, Canada.
Mrs. Benais is survived by her husband, John, whom she maried NOvember 19,
1931. Also, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward Morgan (Gertrude) of
Red Lake, and Gladys Nelson of Letellier, Manitoba; a brother, Peter Smith,,
Portage LaPrairie, Manitoba; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Her
daughter and son and other relatives were in Red Lake to attend the funeral.
The Pallbearers were: Paul Hayden, Joseph Nelson, David Nelson, George Brown,
James Martin, and Leonard Benais.
The Honorary Pallbearers were: Cecelia Brown, Rose Lussier, Eleanor Smith,
Anna Spears, angeline Sumner, and Mildred Sumner.
The Snustad Funeral Home of Blackduck was in charge of
arrangements.
