Ruglus R. Mason, 70, of Redby died Tuesday, October 12, 1993 at the Cass
Lake Public Health Service Indian Hospital.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Antipas Episcopal Church,
with the Rev. Mark MacDonald and Johnson Loud. Interment will be in the church
cemetary under the direction of the Snustad Funeral Home of Blackduck. A wake
begins at 4 p.m. Friday at the Redby Community Center.
Mr. Mason was born March 31, 1923, at Redby. He was a veteran of World War
II and had been a wood carver and worked making jewelry and native art.
He is survived by his companion, Maefred Aery of Cass lake; an adopted son,
Gordon Mason of Minneapolis; two daughters, Gloria Ann (John) Dunn and Shirley
(Glen Fisher Sr.) Fisher, both of Cass Lake; 14 grandchildren, 29
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hollis Littlecreek in New Mexico and Charles
Stately of Minneapolis; three sisters, Loretta Stately, Fannie Fairbanks, and
Jeanette Blanchard, all of Minneapolis; an aunt, and many nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Pallbearers will be Charles Littlecreek, Thomas Littlecreek, Richard
Boswell, Glen Fisher, Sr., Gordon Northbird Jr. and Neil Paul LaDuke.
