1861.  Privates made $13/month.  He as in Co.B., 3rd Minn. Vol. Inf.  He was
wounded at Wood Lake on 23 Sep 1862.
  There was a Sioux Indian revolt at Wood Lake and the soldiers were called
back to Minn.  He re-enlisted on 2 Feb 1864 and was honorably discharged 2 Sep
1865
15 Jul 1870: Census, Lakeland Twp., Washington Co., MN, "works out days," value
of real est. 15, value of pers. estate 2, place of birth Prince Rupert Land
1910: Census, Village of St. Paul Park, MN, age 72, listed as "uncle" in
