Council of the Six Nations (to which the Ojibways were invited), held at
Credit Mission, U.C., JAN, 1840, the "purport of this speech was, that, his
Ojebway brethren having invited them, they had been brought to meet together;
that they were much pleased with the words contained in the letter sent them;
that they wer happy to meet their Ojebway brethren and to hear them speak of
the ancient treaties made by our forefathers, and requested to consult among
themselves for a short
time."
