Sr., 41, of Redby died Saturday, March 14, 1992 at the University of Minnesota
Hospital in Minneapolis.
"Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Redby Community Church,
with Father Bill Mehrkens officiating; Rev. Tom Pollack will assist. The wake
will be Monday afternoon and evening. Burial will be at the Redby Community
Cemetary. Arrangements are with Snustad Funeral Home of Blackduck.
"Pallbearers include Jeff Roy, William Fairbanks, Ronald Fairbanks, Herman
Fairbanks, Duane Fairbanks and Adrian Fairbanks. Honorary pallbearers include
Robert Head, AUG King, Randy Barrett, Abraham Smith Jr., Dale Johns and Truman
Schoenborn.
"Mr. Fairbanks was born April 1, 1950, at Red Lake to Henry and Viola
Fairbanks. He attended school at Redlake and worked as a saw filer for the
Red Lake Indian Mills for many years and also worked at mills in Marcell,
Minn., and Missoula, Mont.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna; two daughters, Crystal Schoenborn and
Daisy Fairbanks of Redby; two sons, Loren and Gorden Fairbanks Jr. of Redby;
one sister, Charlene King of Red Lake; five brothers, William, Adrian, Herman,
Ronald and Duane of Red Lake; and three grandchildren.
"He is preceded by a son, Donovan, and his parents."
