Company on June 22, 1801, to winter as a bout (end man in a canoe) for three
years in the Fond du Lac department at 500 livres (NW) per year.  Listed by
the XY Company on June 29, 1805, as a Red Lake employee with a debt of 811.3
livres.  Charged for "sundries" in the North West Company's Fond du Lac
department account books in 1812-13 and credited with wages of 500 livres
per year.  Employed by the American Fur Company as a boatman in the Fond du
Lac department 1819-22 outfits at $166.

West Company on July 30, 1806, as an interpreter in the Fond du Lac
department.  Charged for "sundries" in the North West Company's Fond du Lac
department account books in 1812-15, and credited with wages of 500 livres
(NW) in the same period, after which he is listed as employed South West
Company.  Employed by the American Fur Cmpany as an interpreter in the Fond
du Lac department 1818 outfit at $400, and in 1819 as a trader in the same
department at the same salary.  Employed as a clerk in 1820 and as an
interpreter in 1821, still at the same salary.  Employed as a boatman for
the 1822 outfit at $500.  See Wallace, Documents, 221
