-121-2, published by the Minnesota Historical Society: Hired by the XY Compay
in Montreal (in the office of notary Jonathan A. Gray and with the consent
of his father Pierre Chicoine, a merchant in Verchere, Quebec) on March 13,
1802, to winter as a clerk for five years in the "dependencies of the
Northwest" for 75 pounds (probably Halifax currency). Listed by the North
West Company on July 30, 1806, as a clerk in the Fond du Lac Department.
