department at 600 livres (NW). Hired for three years by the XY Company on
June 9, 1801, as a clerk in the Fond du Lac department at 900 livres (NW)
for the first year and 1,000 livres (NW) for the second and third years.
Employed by the American Fur Company as an interpreter in the Fond du Lac
department 1819 outfit at $300. The 1798 roster is in Public Archives of
Canada, Report, 1939, p. 53
