is the black bear [otehr bears are recognized: the mide bear is brown or
grizzly, and sometimes white, i.e. bears whose habitat is much fathernorth than
that of the present Ojibwa.
 Names for only three parts were obtained.  These are (a) ozidan', teh hind
legs, (b) the body (or its back fat), (c) the whole bear, ki.gimiziwea makwa
 page 33. Manitou Band #1 includes many Bear (men and women)
 page 34. Manitou Band #2 includes largely Bear and
Caribou
