            ALASKAN YUPIC DELEGATION ON THE INSULAR CONFERENCE

                    ON THE COMPACT OF FREE ASSOCIATION

                              SEPT. 21 1989

 

 

The Yupic Delegation to the Insular Affairs Conference on the Compact of

Free Association wishes to acknowledge the gracious acceptance of the

Yupic Resolution calling for a conference on the Compact of Free

Association as set forth by the Congressional Act (U.S.Public Law 99‑239)

 

The direct interjection of the Secretary of Interior into the Foreign

Policy Formation and his report to the Congress will hopefully result in

eliminating any interference into the Sovereign Jurisdictional

administration of the members of the Compact and the formal and full

recognition of the Indigenous peoples of both Alaska and Hawaii. as

designated by the 'Act', in conformity to the United Nations Charter

Mandate incorporated in Article 73(E) and 76(B) of the United Nations

Charter.
